Hugs & Inspiration Prints

Hugs & Inspiration are three designers from Melbourne who design whimsical and imaginative prints and
framed paper art for the unique child’s room!

All our illustrations have been hand drawn by the very talented artist/designer, Mel.

All our brand new unframed prints fit standard A3 and A4 sized frames and are printed on the highest quality bright white archival matt paper (192gsm) to prevent fading.

They come individually packaged flat, in a beautiful cellophane bag, on a strong backing board, each with artist information.

Each print is hand signed

Latest and greatest....

I have something I am pretty excited about to share with you....

As you know, I LOVE Gallop Lifestyle and I always get excited when they have a new product out, so when I saw their latest products, I got super duper excited (who wouldn't!) because Gallop Lifestyle is now stocking Anika Cook's work.  Anika likes small touches of absurdity, vintage illustrations, old paper and books, bright colours, and stripes, but even more than that, she like putting all those things into her printed artworks.

This gorgeous 'Argumento' is from a limited edition series of only 25 and is printed onto raw canvas.

'Owlies Spotlight' This beautiful piece is hand-cut and assembled, and comes in a limited edition of 100, with each piece numbered on the back. Framed in a black 23cm square frame, handmade from plantation-grown

Gallop Lifestyle are stocking eight different pieces, each handmade in Melbourne, so make sure you pop across and check them out!

Please don't forget to leave a message of support for Zariah on my 'Zariah's Journey' post!

Come shop with me...

I recently discovered this online store while spending the afternoon procrastinating on Etsy (as you do). Kokofox Studio is a co-operative of artisan designers who have come together the quirky and unusual.
Sly as a fox
Take a stroll through the store, I promise you will love what you see and may even find a Christmas present (or three).
Jellybean loves owls!
As I said the quirky and unusual are quintessential to the make up of this online store! Take this cameo necklace, a piece of historical reverence but in this case designed in an eccentric but fun way!
Lady Death
I hope you enjoy browsing the The Kokofox Studio and check out their Facebook page too! Myself, I'm looking forward to working with Kokofox Studio more in the new year!

In the mailbox....

Recently I purchased these from Made It a great website for Australian indie designers to sell their wares, it is our interpretation of Etsy. And I have to tell you these Kokeshi Doll Page Markers are GORGEOUS!!
They come in gorgeous packaging and are a real tribute to the creator!
So please check them out HERE!
I promise you will love them too!!
Also be sure to check out my new Facebook Page

Re-discovering 'Re-found Objects'

I was flicking through an old notebook when I came across a website I'd scribbled down Re-found Objects, so I thought I'd check it out and see what it was all about. I'm glad I did (although I don't think my bank balance is that glad!!) Look at some of the treasures I've come across...
Hand painted tins from Peru
Re-fired antique plates
Pearly King cushions, based on the ol' Cockney style
American Milk Glass Pitchers

I guess I resonate even further with this store as a lot of the items I could imagine selling in my own store, especially the Hand painted Peru tins! What do you think?

Online Shopping -Teo Jasmin

I stumbled across this site whilst blogging the other day, and I love it!! So many great retro-inspired homewares!!
Love the pop-art!!

As you can see the homewares are very youthful but also quite inspired!!

Materialistic... A fabulous online store

Featured in Real Living Magazine this month was this great designer...
There are so many things to love, firstly the gorgeous designs!
Secondly she is a Sydney girl and started out at the Paddington Markets!
Thirdly the fact that all of these designs are hand screen printed using eco friendly inks!
Fourthly Miss Angie who started this label, began it as a hobby.. so it serves as great inspiration for the rest of us!
And finally... we come back to the start.. the gorgeous designs!
So I'm sold... how about you???

Retro Print Revival

I found this site whilst browsing on www.madeit.com.au, the lamps have been created from retro fabrics and up-cycled lamp bases. The pieces are all one off designs and truly gorgeous (if you ask me).
Their website is also absolutely inspired... something I'd take to my website designer!

Winter and hot chocolate

...IT'S FREEZING... so to warm up I'm indulging in hot chocolate... DELICIOUS.. but I'm drinking it out of a Max Brenner HUGMUG... so I thought I'd google it (as you do) and I found a gorgeous website; http://www.maxbrenner.com.au

Definitely chocolate lovers paradise! But the piece-de-resistance is definitely their HUGMUG...
"Hug Mug is a specially designed mug for the chocolate drinking ceremony. The mug is shaped for hugging in both hands, creating the ultimate drinking experience of cosiness, warmth and fragrance."

They also do a chocolate pizza!! OMG!! Although I couldn't find an image to share unfortunately!! But sounds delightful!! I'm feeling a little warmer now!

Gorgeous Website ALERT!!!

Just discovered Kremlife...

"Kreme is a design-centric wallpaper company that values beauty, form in function in all things. We believe in craft and pride in ones work and the ability to give back to the community and the planet at every available opportunity."

Gorgeous cushions! Gorgeous wallpapers! Gorgeous website!!
