The Emporium - Imogen Wilson

One of the great things about doing everything that I do with Hazed, Craft Love Festival, Pay It Forward and The Emporium is that all to often I find myself dropping my jaw in awe at the wonderful things that artisans and designers are creating. Imogen Wilson's work is just one of those jaw dropping moments.

Her micro origami earrings are legendary, varnished to last these bad boys will be pulling you compliments all over town!

We are lucky to now have her gorgeous wares available to purchase through The Emporium - so pop on over and have a geezer! I know you'll be impressed when you do.

The Emporium - Ex-Libris

At Hazel Loves Design we are so lucky to work with so many fabulous designers on a daily basis! Imogen Wilson jewellery designer whiz-kid and the face behind Ex-Libris is the newest designer to join our stable of creative faces over on The Emporium

Imogen lives in her hometown of Wellington where for the last ten years she has had the pleasure of working in several local, independent book stores. Since 2009 she has been running her own handmade origami jewellery business, Imogen Wilson Jewellery as a hobby on the side of her nine to five job.

In 2013 Imogen was lucky enough to turn her hobby into a full time job (jealous!) and Ex-Libris was born. A perfect combination of her love of jewellery and her love of literature and a fantastic gift for lovers of both.

Imogen admits that being self employed is a daily struggle, it's a lot of hard work and long hours, but she's never been busier, poorer, or happier with her life. She's giving it a shot and "It's a great feeling betting on myself! A mentor of mine said it best and I couldn't agree more: 'I believe in handmade. I believe in the power and the goodness of the micro-economy. I buy handmade wherever I can. I believe that the more of us who succeed, the better our world and our lives will be'."

Kudos to Imogen - her work is testament to the hard work and dedication it takes to run a thriving indie design business.
