Mahatma Gandhi SEVEN DEADLY SINS

Ghandi said that several things will destroy us. Here they are:

Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Knowledge without character
Commerce without morality
Science without humanity
Religion without sacrifice
Politics without principles

I was going to put a picture up with this post... but really what images would do this post any justice??

No pictures necessary with such powerful words! All such wise words.

Very wise indeed.
Reminds me of a funny anekdote from school...In Ethics class we discussed deathly sins from different angles and religions. And in our books, there was somehow a print mistake and it said that "sadness" and "tiredness" were two of the seven deadly sins of the Catholic church. As if no person on earth would ever be tired or sad...

I've heard these quoted singly, but I didn't know that they were from Mahatma Ghandi, or that they went together. They are so very thought-provoking. Wouldn't you like to email them to every person in the world who has power over others in particular, to remind them about compassion?
