If I were a store I would look like this...

I was talking to my fiance the other day about my dream of opening a store one day. He asked me to explain what I would sell, so I tried to explain that it would be a mixture of Indie designs, Vintage Eames and Kartell style furniture, with some thrifty type bargains mixed in.

Of course that left him scratching his head, 'Why would you want to sell stuff from India?' and 'Is Eames and Cartel some sort of drug lord furniture?' Bless his cotton socks! So this post is mostly for him, an explanation in pictures of what I would love to create!!
Love these sorts of displays!

Love the pieces in this room, but I would style it differently.

I would definitely have a white showroom, and let the furniture do the talking.

Again with the similar style ceramic displays --love them!

Love this style of furniture, it looks fantastic cleaned up!

And pieces like this are so cool!

I'm drawn to these sorts of rooms, so many stylish accessories!

One of my first 'installations' would be British themed... perfect for Queen's Birthday weekend, I can get enough of the British themed homewares at the moment!

Love the cool pieces in the wall unit, and all they had to do was add wallpaper to make it look good!

Ikea showrooms, always look good... as long as you don't look too closely at the quality of their furniture... or think about how you have to put it all together!!

Love white accessories too! -Especially busts at the moment-

These last two pictures are how I'd expect the pieces I would sell to look in a home...

So there you have it... if I were a store this is what I would look like!
If you were a store what would you look like??

Hi I'm Sabrina, just popping in from the Lady Blogger Tea Party and had a quick glance over your blog and this post particularly caught my eye. I totally agree with you: that room on the very first picture would make a perfect store! I'll keep hanging around for a while, I really like the first impression I got.
Have a good weekend.
