Design Inspiration Philippe Starck

Philippe Starck has to be one of the most renowned designers of our generation!
www.starck.com shows his full repertoire.
 But I will show you a couple of my favourites;
The Louis Ghost Chair
Juicy Salif - I was suprised to hear this was designed in 1989!!
His more 'inspired' designs...

This one is called the 'Holy All Vase' and is almost 7 Ft TALL!!
The gnome chair
His work really stands out in Interior Design too...
This image is from the Faena Hotel & Universe in Buenos Aires. This space was inspired by Alice in Wonderland!! Love the unicorns on the wall!
He designed the Gautier Showroom in Paris
Not sure where the above image is from, but I definitely want to go there, and I am inspired by the image below. Looks like the perfect place to be this beautiful (but cold) Sunday morning...
You can learn more about him on his website or

I love the Alice in Wonderland inspired room. It's great! And I've always like the ghost chair. There is something so interesting and elegant about it.

The chairs w/ faces... wow. I'll pass on that one. It's amazing how many different types of things he designs, though. That's talent!
