Tantalizing Tips for a Tuesday

Put your shower curtain in the wash with your towels, then hang it back up on its rail to dry, this works equally well for plastic and polyester shower curtains. Pre-soak mouldy polyester curtains in a bleach solution, then wash with white towels.

Pop half a box of baking soda in the toilet cistern before you go to bed. A couple of flushes in the morning, a quick flick around the bowl with a brush, and your weekend toilet cleaning is done.

Remove products that haven't been used in six months from around the shower, bathroom cabinet and windowsill, and either store elsewhere or discard. Wiping down will be that much faster.

Give your walls a quick once over with warm soapy water and a clean floor mop - it's much easier way to reach the ceiling line than balancing on a ladder

Wash sponges and brushes in the dishwasher to kill off germs (and smells)

Very few people enjoy cleaning the oven or stovetop. To stop it becoming a major chore, clean as you go by wiping the top and inside with a warm, damp cloth after each use.

Listen to music while you clean, or download an audio book you have been meaning to read instead.

Buy heavy-duty washing-up gloves. Not only will they last longer, they'll allow you to use really hot water on the dishes - great for killing germs, dislodging dirt and saving you time.

Fold over the cuffs of your washing-up gloves while you clean to prevent dribbles.

Mix a few capfuls of eucalyptus oil in warm water as a natural - and fresh-smelling - alternative for cleaning tiles, baths and shower screens.

Thoroughly wash your toothbrush holder to limit the growth of bacteria.

Have a hot shower just before cleaning the bath/shower recess to loosen the dirt

Mix vinegar and water to give vases a great shine

Use a slice of white bread to get scuffs off walls

THE GARDEN RULE...
Every type of garden, small or large, can be super easy to take care of when you follow the "Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring" rule. During the first week of every season make sure you;

*Treat your plants to a nourishing drink and fertilise every plant with fish emulsion
*Prune plants and remove dead growth, weeds, leaves in gutters and garden beds.

After several seasons only one day will be needed! This commitment to your garden is so rewarding you'll actually be looking forward to the beginning of each season

Zippers won't stick if you rub them with the edge of a bar of soap.

To remove a crease, sponge the material with white vinegar and press with a warm iron.

Help me save my Marc Jacobs!!

I need some help, I have a gorgeous Marc Jacobs' dress, it is mostly linen but it has a deep purple satin seam/panel in it. Stupid me decided to put it in the washing machine because I was too lazy to hand wash it! Yes that's me the stupid one sitting in the corner... so now the purple die has run onto the linen section of the dress.

How do I fix it? Should I risk taking it to a dry cleaners? Is there a magic potion which will fix it without ruining it further?? HELP!!!

I know a big 'Loser' sign is stamped on my forehead right now!! GAH!!

Tips for business....

"You cannot bore people into buying your product, you can only interest them in buying it. You cannot save souls in an empty church."

"I want you to remember one thing, it's going to be what you learn after you know it all that will set you apart. So, are you good enough now to get better?"

"You know a design is good when you want to lick it".

Dreams create destiny, dreams are real

Life is to be enjoyed, not endured. Be thankful for all that you have. You have everything that you need. Right here. Right now.

Spend time thinking over your creative ideas and invest in careful planning

Decide the goals and vision that matter to you most. Write it down and read it often.

I HEART JIMMY CHOO!!

Know your goal for now, and know where you want to be for each year to come

"The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer."
-Nolan Bushnell

There is no easy way to achieve, you must develop a deep belief in your own ability and be prepared to do the hard work

If you have something to do, do it now.

Tantalizing Tips for a Tuesday

Just some random tips today...

The idea that a large lunch is better than a big dinner is apparently a myth. According to nutritionists, weight gain has more to do with the number of kilojoules you consume in a week. Unfortunately it all counts.

Gently does it: acrylic baths and basins should never be cleaned with abrasive cleaners. Use dishwashing liquid or gently rub silver polish onto stubborn stains.

Is the reflective film fading from your favourite mirror? A simple way to disguise is to scrape the peeling discoloured film off and place a piece of foil behind the now-clear glass.

Are your favourite volumes from childhood starting to smell too authentically old? To rid old books of that musty smell, pop them in a paper bag with crumpled up newspaper for a couple of days, or leave them fanned open in a well-ventilated room for two weeks.

Tantalizing Tips for life and motivation...

Do what you love and love what you do

And this, above all, to thine own self be true

Before giving in to hard times, ask yourself this: 'Are things really that bad?'

Take one last look in the mirror, then forget about yourself

Before you panic, ask yourself: 'Will this matter in 10 years?'

Never raise your voice to anyone

Be good to your Mum and Dad

You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough

Life isn't worth living unless you're willing to take some big chances and go for broke.

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.

Life is like a hot bath. It feel good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

God, if I can't have what I want, let me want what I have

And in the end, it's not the year's in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

Our lives are like a candle in the wind

Life is like an onion; You peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep.

Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit

Life is what happens to you while you're working for your future.

I love my past. I love my present. I'm not ashamed of what I've had, and I'm not sad because I have it no longer.

Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each is to succeed.

Life resembles a novel more often than novels resemble life.

Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you.

Man who waits for roast duck to fly into mouth must wait very, very long time.

Our own life is the instrument with which we experiment with the truth

There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle

There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.

I'm feeling inspired and very motivated now... do you have any quotes or ideals that you wish to share?
