The weather is finally allowing some cooking to be done as it hasn't been as blistering. Therefore I decided to put together a quick, satisfying stir fry. I used a mix of veggies (as you can see): carrots, broccoli, snap peas, red peppers, mushrooms and water chestnuts. I also made a homemade "stir fry sauce" if you will.

2 T of soy sauce
1 tsp of chili paste
finely minces garlic clove
1/2 tsp of sesame oil

Of course it needed something to soak up that sauce once it was done cooking and I quickly cooked up some brown rice to go with it. Put one cups of rice in a pot with 2.5 - 3 cups of water and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Put the brown rice and stir fry in a bowl and grab your favourite spoon.
