Wash sponges and brushes in the dishwasher to kill off germs (and smells)
Very few people enjoy cleaning the oven or stovetop. To stop it becoming a major chore, clean as you go by wiping the top and inside with a warm, damp cloth after each use.
Listen to music while you clean, or download an audio book you have been meaning to read instead.
Buy heavy-duty washing-up gloves. Not only will they last longer, they'll allow you to use really hot water on the dishes - great for killing germs, dislodging dirt and saving you time.
Fold over the cuffs of your washing-up gloves while you clean to prevent dribbles.
Mix a few capfuls of eucalyptus oil in warm water as a natural - and fresh-smelling - alternative for cleaning tiles, baths and shower screens.
Thoroughly wash your toothbrush holder to limit the growth of bacteria.
